Irineu Cardoso Maia is a luthier who lives in the rural area of Dores de campos, Minas Gerais. He began his work in the 1990s and was taught by the late and admired João Nascimento. In recent years, his contact with various musicians has brought him closer to the world of viola caipira, which has become a very popular instrument in his catalog of orders, alongside the traditional classical guitars, 7-string guitars and bandolins.
This is a new guitar we commissioned from Irineu. At our request, it is fitted with high quality German tuners (Rubner.)
