Do Souto Cavaquinho, "Waldir", 1980 (SOLD)
Do Souto Cavaquinho, "Waldir", 1980 (SOLD)
A true classic, Do Souto cavaquinhos of this vintage are highly sought after, hard to find, and often not in great shape. In the mid 20th century they set the standard for what a cavaquinho could and should sound like in a roda de choro or samba: loud, rich, crisp, dry. This cavaquinho offers all that and is in very good condition. We believe the top was refinished in a more durable PU at some point, while the back and sides appear to be the original shellac. Plays easy, sounds terrific.
