Manoel Andrade Cavaquinho, *2010 (SOLD)
Manoel Andrade Cavaquinho, *2010 (SOLD)
This is the fourth Manoel Andrade instrument, all cavaquinhos, that we have acquired for sale in the Choro Shop. *Unlike many builders, Manoel did not include the date his labels, so our reporting of its age is based on what we were told by the original owner, from whom we purchased it. That owner had many instruments and obviously cared well for them. Measuring 31mm at the nut, the fingerboard of this cavaquinho is on the wider side of the "normal" spectrum -- read: comfortable for those of us more accustomed to the feel of a guitar or mandolin -- and plays easily. It has the bright, well-balanced, dry tone guaranteed to cut through the mix in your next roda!
