We are always on the lookout for inexpensive, good quality, luthier-made cavaquinhos. Ariass qualifies. We went into Choro Camp 2025 with two of their models -- one all cedar, and this one, with a spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Given that it's over 15 years old, it's in incredible condition. This would be a big step up from a factory made cavaquinho, and excellent choice for someone who plays another instruments and who'd like to give cavaquinho a try without breaking the bank.
