Regis Bonilha is a well-known and well-respected luthier who resides in the city of Jacarei, just northeast of São Paulo. His work is exclusively special order, and while this is true of many Brazilian luthiers, few can compare with the variety of designs and materials of Bonilha's. This bandolim has fanned frets, which improves the intonation -- something notoriously difficult to get right on a 10-string bandolim.

He is best known for guitars and bandolins, especially 10-string bandolins, which are a breed apart. This one is in very good condition, and we're offering it at a price you won't likely see again for a Bonilha-made instrument of any sort. If you've been thinking of trying your hand at a 10-string, think about trying this one.
